Viewing Your Bill

The University of KU utilizes eBills to generate student account statements for tuition, fees and other university charges.

Students can view current and prior period eBills by logging in to Enroll & Pay  Click on Student Financials tile the Account Services and then View or Print eBill. 

Parents, guardians or others can view a student's current and prior eBills if they are set-up as a Delegate on the student's account. Learn more about Delegate access

Statement of Account

  • Top Section: Includes the student's name, student ID number, and the billing date.

  • Middle Section: Provides a detailed description of all charges and credits, including the corresponding charge amount or credit amounts.

  • Important Messages: Contains additional information and helpful reminders to your payment and account.

  • Bottom Section: Displays the student ID number, invoice date, payment due date and total amount due. The payment mailing address is also provided in this section.

ChargeAll Sports ComboA pass that gives students the opportunity to attend regular season home KU football and men’s basketball games.Prices are updated yearly. Passes may be purchased during enrollment periods or in person at the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office.
ChargeBookstore ChargesCharges related to purchases at the bookstore, which may also include supply fees.Students should contact the Bookstore directly for specific charge questions.
ChargeCourse FeeA fee assessed per credit hour in addition to tuition.The amount depends on the course or courses the student is enrolled in.
ChargeEnrollment DepositA required deposit for new incoming freshmen to confirm their place in the next KU class.The deposit covers Orientation, first-year programming, and the student’s KU ID card.
ChargeGuest Orientation FeeA fee assessed for each guest who attends Orientation.This fee is charged to the student’s fall bill.
ChargeISS Check-In FeeA charge for completing the ISS Check-In.This fee is billed to the student account after completion of ISS Check-In.
ChargeISS Orientation FeeA fee for International Student Orientation, which includes online pre-arrival content and an in-person portion.All new international students are required to register for and attend.
ChargeInitial KU Card / Replacement KU CardThe KU Card is the official identification card for students, faculty, staff, and other KU community members.Students’ initial cards are paid through the enrollment deposit. Replacement cards have a fee if lost, stolen, or damaged.
ChargeLate Payment FeeA fee assessed for outstanding tuition and fee balances when payments are not received by the established due date.More information is available in the Tuition and Fee Late Fee Assessment Policy.
ChargeLibrary ChargesCharges from KU Libraries that are transferred to Student Accounts & Receivables if unpaid after 90 days.Questions about specific library charges should be directed to Library staff.
ChargeNew Student Fee – TransferA required fee for new transfer students that is added to the student bill after enrollment.This is not a deposit and does not need to be paid upfront.
ChargeNRA Withholding TaxA withholding tax charge for international students when part of a scholarship, fellowship, or grant is considered compensation for services performed in the United States.The withholding tax rate is 30% but may be reduced in certain circumstances.
ChargeOptional Campus FeesOptional products and services offered by KU and affiliate organizations.Available only during certain enrollment periods and not during add/drop times.
ChargeParking / Parking TicketsStudents, faculty, and staff may purchase one automobile and one motorcycle or moped permit per year.Permit fees may be added to the student account. Parking tickets must be paid through the parking office and are not added to the student account.
ChargeRequired Health Insurance NRAMandatory health insurance coverage for certain international students and dependents.Applies to F-1, F-2, J-1, and J-2 statuses based on enrollment and program requirements.
ChargeReturn Check ChargeA charge applied when deposited checks or e-checks do not clear.A $30 charge is placed on the student account for each returned payment instrument.
ChargeStudent Health ServicesCharges incurred at Watkins Health Services.Students should contact Watkins directly for questions about specific charges.
ChargeTouchNet: Installment DueA charge shown for students enrolled in the TouchNet payment plan.This line indicates the payment amount due for the payment plan.
CreditDepartmental ScholarshipsA scholarship awarded by a specific KU department or office.Questions should be directed to the department or office that awarded the scholarship.
CreditFAS ScholarshipA freshman or transfer merit scholarship that may appear in the financial aid package instead of the exact merit scholarship name.Questions should be directed to Financial Aid & Scholarships.
CreditOutside Scholarship / FAS PaymentA scholarship received from an outside organization not affiliated with KU.Outside scholarships must be reported to Financial Aid & Scholarships for processing.
CreditRefund of OverpaymentA refund issued when financial aid or credits exceed the amount of the balance due.Refunds are issued by direct deposit. Students should update bank account information in Enroll & Pay if needed.
CreditThird Party SponsorshipA financial arrangement where a KU office, department, or outside organization pays for a student’s educational expenses.This may include tuition, fees, departmental sponsorships, or research-funded sponsorships.
CreditWaiver – GTA % ApptA credit for graduate students with a GTA, GRA, or GA position who receive tuition benefits.The benefit may cover all or part of tuition and fees.
CreditWvr- % GTA Appt Crse FeeA credit for graduate students with a GTA, GRA, or GA position who receive tuition benefits for differential course fees.The benefit may cover all or part of eligible differential course fees.
